Domínguez came up with perfect timing for his second career major league home run, taking one out to right field to give the Yankees their first lead of the night. Saturday evening the Astros took a commanding 3-0 lead in the ALCS with a Game 3 win over the New York Yankees and ace Gerrit Cole at Yankee Stadium ( HOU 5, NYY 0 ). With one out in the inning, Oswaldo Cabrera started things off with a single. He kept them off the board for the first five innings, but the Yankees finally got something going in the sixth. The Yankees’ offense had been held in check by Cristian Javier, which they do have some experience in. That put him in position to score when Kyle Tucker hit a semi-deep fly out. Thanks to a recent infusion of youth, the Yankees at the very least made themselves a source of intrigue for this three-game set at Minute Maid Park. Between injuries and general meh-ness, they have been an unenjoyable watch for the majority of this year. This has not been the most fun of seasons for the Yankees.
